I am originally from the United States. My father was in the AirForce so I have travelled a lot since I was young. As the next question is always “oh yeah? Whereabouts in the states?”, currently I have family in Sacramento, California. I started my veterinary path young working in kennels, then as a technician in the states where I gained most of my basic practical skills.
I joined the military in 2002 and am currently serving in the US Army Reserves as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare Officer. I moved to England when I was accepted to the Royal Veterinary College Accelerated program. I spent some time up north in Cumbria as a mixed animal vet working with cows, sheep, alpacas, horses, dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, and game birds. I made a change and moved to the Isle of Wight and worked for a practice as a strictly small animal vet for several years before finding my place here at Purton Vets.
