I joined the nursing team at Purton in October 2019, after qualifying in 2017. I love being a veterinary nurse and have a special interest in radiography, surgery and anaesthesia. In 2018 I gained an additional certificate in anaesthesia and have recently gained a certificate in feline nursing too.
Following my maternity leave after the birth of my little girl I will be returning to Purton in October, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing all existing pets and clients I’ve come to know and meeting all the new faces who have joined us.
At home I also have 2 dogs (Basil and Polly), a cat (Jim) and a few chickens (too many to name them all!). In my free time, I can usually be found training and competing with my dogs in agility or hoopers.
We've had cats in our family for as long as I can remember but never truly understood the level of stress they can be under when attending the vets. Since becoming a nurse I have become increasingly passionate about trying to reduce this stress as much as possible for their visits. As the cat friendly nurse advocate I endeavour to ensure our handling and nursing standards are kept high by all staff here at Purton and your beloved pets are kept as happy as possible.
