Following rigorous inspection by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) we are pleased to announce that we passed with flying colours. The Practice Standards Scheme is currently voluntary and was established to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care within practices in the UK. This is something that is very important to us and it demonstrates our commitment to the high level of care we offer your pets. As a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice for the past 6 years we have always offered the high standards required to train nurses so there have been no real changes.
In order to become accredited we had to undergo inspection that took an entire day and which will occur at least every 4 years (including random spot checks). The inspector made sure we met a range of standards set by the RCVS including appropriate hospitalisation facilities and after hour care of our patients, laboratory facilities for diagnostic testing, health and safety and other administrative areas such as our commitment to ongoing education and training of our staff.
This accreditation means that our clients can rest assured that our practice offers a high standard of care both in the areas that you can see when you visit the practice and in those areas behind the scenes!
