Item Standard Price Health Club Price
Initial Consultation £30.59 £27.53

Follow-up Consultation £27.53 £24.78

Our consultations are 15 minutes (rather than the standard 7 to 10 minutes in length).  This means we see less clients per hour and provide better value for money. More time allows a better assessment of your pets health as well as time to listen to your concerns.  We do not squeeze as many clients into an hour as possible.

Ultrasound (pregnancy diagnosis) £36.38 £36.38

Using our top of the range ultrasound machine we see high resolution images allowing easy pregnancy diagnosis.  We provide a range of ultrasound services starting at £36.38 for pregnancy right through to having patients hearts scanned by a consultant cardiologist for £378.

After Hours Emergency Consultation £101.92 £101.92

The practice subscribes to the only dedicated after hour emergency service in Swindon.  The Vets Now Emergency Service is unique (compared to veterinary hospitals in Swindon) in that there is a vet and nurse on site all through the night looking after your pet. Don't worry about disturbing them, they are there waiting for you to call at all times. The service has instructions to contact us should they be in any way unable to help you.

Our vaccination against Rabies lasts for three years which helps prevent unnecessary vaccination of your pet as well as bring down the cost per year.

Microchip Identification Implant £25.54 £22.98

Our microchips are different.  They are high quality and include a built in thermometer so we can tell your pets temperature by scanning them rather than by using a rectal thermometer.  Studies have shown the microchips are an accurate way of assessing body temperature.  We have not increased our price to you despite them costing more for their improved technology and quality.  We believe our patients will benefit in the long run with a kinder approach to taking their temperature.  Beware cheap low quality chips, they tend to migrate more and have higher failure rates.

We have a 2nd chip available without the built in thermometer for  £16.38

Dog Booster Vaccination £42.84 £39.59

Keyhole Surgery Dog Spay 1-10kg £295.00 £265.50

Keyhole Surgery Dog Spay 10-20kg £325.00 £292.50

Keyhole Surgery Dog Spay 20-40kg £365.00 £328.50

Keyhole Surgery Dog Spay >40kg £399.00 £359.10

Why Keyhole Surgery or Laparoscopic Surgery?
We no longer offer open surgery to spay dogs as the surgery is more risky and much more painful than using the latest keyhole surgery techinques. This type of operation is only performed by experienced surgeons. This comes at an extra cost but is far superior to open surgery. We take pain seriously and post operation pain relief is not an optional extra but included in the price.  We always provide intravenous fluids because it is safer and best practice.

Keyhole surgery means making two tiny incisions and performing the surgery with a camera from the outside.  Dogs recover much faster and can often jump up into the back of a car within hours. They are 70% more active in the first 3 days after surgery because they feel so much less pain.  The operation is safer to perform because the surgeon can see far more detail and can inspect the blood vessels in fine detail.  In fact there is often no bleeding at all.
