About Us

We have a personal approach to looking after our clients and patients and believe continuity of care and being able to develop a trusting relationship is important. Your pets are our priority and we would like to emphasise the fact that their care is a partnership between yourselves and the practice.

We like to involve you in your pet's care, with full explanations of your pet's treatment plan so you understand why we are doing the things we are.

Our main surgery is located in the village of Purton and our branch surgery in Cricklade (consulting only), both sites having ample free parking and easy access.

We have consultations 7 days a week by appointment only. Our appointments are 15 minutes, that's up to 50% longer than other practices in the area and the best value for money in Swindon. Members of our Pet Health Club benefit from a 10% discount across a range of services and products.

We have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and all of our team are active in ongoing education. The practice is recognised by the Royal Veterinary College as an Approved Training Centre for Veterinary Nurse training and has achieved the Investors in People Award. We are accredited members of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, with regular inspections to prove our commitment to these high standards.

The practice was established in 1985 and now specialises in the treatment of small animals. We have 3 veterinary surgeons offering a full range of services including surgery, medicine, x-rays, ultrasound and hospitalisation facilities. We have a close relationship with the leading specialist centres in the South West. We select specialists based on their education, experience and registration. There is a huge variation in skill between vets who claim "specialist" status especially those who work in first opinion hospitals. Unlike the majority of practices in Swindon we do not own shares in the local referral centres so do not have any conflict of interest when choosing a specialist for your pet.
