About Us

We have a personal approach to looking after our clients and patients and believe continuity of care and being able to develop a trusting relationship is important. Your pets are our priority and we would like to emphasise the fact that their care is a partnership between yourselves and the practice.

We like to involve you in your pet's care, with full explanations of your pet's treatment plan so you understand why we are doing the things we are. Visiting the vet should be as stress free as possible for both you and your pet, and our team will always consider your individual needs.

Our Small Animal Hospital is located in the village of Purton and our branch surgery in Cricklade (consulting only), both sites having ample free parking and easy access. Wheelchair access at our Purton Hospital is possible but special arrangements need to be made so please contact us in advance.

We have consultations 7 days a week by appointment only (Opening Hours). Our appointments are 15 minutes, that's 33% longer than the average consultation offered in the area and as such the best value for money in Swindon. Members of our Pet Health Club benefit from a 10% discount across a range of services and products.

We have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and all of our team are active in ongoing education. The practice is recognised by the Royal Veterinary College as an Approved Training Centre for Veterinary Nurse training and has achieved the Investors in People Award. We have currently opted out of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme even though we would qualify as the scheme needs to be compulsory in our view so all practices maintain at least minimum standards.

The practice was established in 1985, originally treating all species but over the years has focused on companion animals. Concentrating our knowledge and skills has obvious benefits to the care your pet receives. We have 3 veterinary surgeons offering a wide range of veterinary services including surgery, medicine, x-rays, ultrasound and hospital facilities. We have a close relationship with one of the leading referral centers in the UK, based in Swindon and staffed by the only RCVS Recognised Specialists in the area.
